Ogden Valley City Welcomes New Sheriff’s Office Liaison, Lt. Charles Creager
By Mayor Janet Wampler - 15 March 2026 I am pleased to share an important update regarding public safety in our community. The Ogden Valley City Council and I are proud to welcome Lieutenant Charles Creager as the new liaison from the Weber County Sheriff’s Office to Ogden Valley City. Lt. Creager brings with him more than ten years of dedicated service in county law enforcement. His career with the Weber County Sheriff’s Office began in 2011, when he joined the team as a civilian employee at the county jail. After graduating from the police academy in 2012, he went on to serve in a number of key positions— including assignments with the Motors Squad, work as a Less Lethal Instructor, and time spent training new deputies as a Field Training Officer. His extensive experience across every patrol area in the county, combined with his recent promotion from Sergeant to Lieutenant, has prepared him well for this new role. As our Sheriff’s Office liaison, Lt. Creager will serve as the primary connection between the Sheriff’s Office and Ogden Valley City leadership. He will keep us informed on public safety matters, help ensure community concerns are heard and addressed, and attend City Council meetings regularly. Through coordination with city officials, he will also remain accessible to residents who have questions or wish to share feedback. Many of you may remember Lt. Creager from his earlier years patrolling the Ogden Valley area—an assignment he describes as one of the highlights of his career. We are grateful to have him return in an official capacity, and I am confident his commitment and familiarity with our community will serve our city well as we continue to grow and strengthen our public safety partnership. In addition, I’d like to take a moment to highlight the Weber County Sheriff’s Office Cadet Corps Program, open to youth ages 16–21 who are interested in exploring careers in law enforcement. The program offers hands-on experience through bi‑weekly classes, ride-alongs, and participation in community events alongside deputies. Residents interested in learning more may contact: [email protected]. Please join me in welcoming Lt. Creager to his new role. We look forward to working closely with him and strengthening the safety, communication, and cooperation that make Ogden Valley such a remarkable place to call home. |
