Privacy Policy for The Ogden Valley News App
Last Updated: September 10, 2026

1. Information Collection and Use The Ogden Valley News mobile application does not collect, store, share, or transmit any personal user data. We do not require users to create an account, log in, or provide any identifying information to use the app.

2. How the App Works The application functions primarily as a custom web viewer. It displays content directly from our official website (ogdenvalleynews.com) and fetches high-resolution newspaper archive images from secure Google Drive links.

3. Third-Party Services While our app does not collect personal data, it relies on standard internet infrastructure to function properly:

• Google Play Services: The app is distributed via the Google Play Store, which may collect standard crash reports and app usage analytics based on your device settings.
• Web Traffic: When the app loads articles or archive images, your device makes standard web requests to our servers and Google's servers. These requests inherently include basic network information such as your device's IP address.

4. External Links The app contains links to external platforms, including our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram). If you click these links, you will be taken to third-party applications or websites that operate under their own privacy policies.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time if the functionality of our app changes. Any updates will be posted on this page.

6. Contact Us If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at: [email protected].
