Ogden Valley City Council to Hold Public Hearing on Storm Water Management Plan
29 June 2026
The Ogden Valley City Council has scheduled a public hearing for July 7, 2026, to discuss and receive public comment on the city's proposed Storm Water Management Plan. The hearing will commence at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, inside the Council Chambers of the Huntsville Town Hall, located at 7474 East 200 South in Huntsville. This hearing is being held in compliance with the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act.
The Storm Water Management Plan will serve as the primary framework for Ogden Valley City to manage stormwater runoff. It is designed to document compliance with the Utah Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Small MS4 Permit, which is administered by the Utah Division of Water Quality. The 2026 plan consolidates required ordinances, practices, inspection procedures, and reporting methods, including standard operating procedures, checklists, and forms, into a single implementation document. Following this public hearing, the City Council intends to consider the formal adoption of the plan at a subsequent meeting on July 21, 2026.
Residents wishing to review the proposed plan prior to the hearing can access the document, which is made available at least ten calendar days beforehand as a matter of city practice and transparency. Physical copies are available for review at the Ogden Valley City Office in Huntsville during designated office hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Furthermore, the plan is available digitally on the Ogden Valley City website under the public meetings section, as well as on the Utah Public Notice Website.
The city invites all interested persons to attend the hearing and share their input. The meeting will be held as a single special meeting with Huntsville Town Hall serving as the anchor location, though one or more council members may participate electronically. The public has the option to attend virtually via Zoom using the meeting ID 868 9866 7322 and passcode 715919. Those who prefer to submit written comments prior to the hearing may do so by mailing them to Ogden Valley City at PO Box 6 in Eden, or by emailing contact person Aaron Mackliet at [email protected].
Individuals requiring special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act are instructed to contact Council Member Kay Hoogland at least twenty-four hours before the meeting. Accommodations can be arranged by calling 801-348-0026 or by sending an email to [email protected].
