Ogden Valley City Public Meetings Moving to Microsoft Teams October 5
By Ogden Valley Communications Team - 25 September 2026
Beginning October 5, 2026, Ogden Valley City will use Microsoft Teams instead of Zoom for online access to City public meetings.
The change will apply to City Council meetings, Planning Commission meetings, Town Halls, Work Sessions, and other public meetings that offer online participation.
Joining a Meeting Is Easy
Residents do not need a Microsoft account or the Microsoft Teams app to join a public meeting.
To join from a computer:
Residents may also join using the free Microsoft Teams app on a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
Where to Find Meeting Links
Beginning October 5, Microsoft Teams links will be included with each public meeting notice.
Meeting links will also be available on the City Events Calendar located at the bottom of the Ogden Valley City homepage at www.ogdenvalley.gov.
Residents should use the Microsoft Teams link provided for the meeting they wish to attend rather than previously saved Zoom links.
New to Microsoft Teams?
For residents who would like a little extra help, the Ogden Valley City homepage will include a link to a Microsoft Teams Help page with simple, step-by-step instructions for joining a public meeting.
The page will explain how to join from a computer, smartphone, or tablet, how to join without a Microsoft account, and where to find the City's meeting links.
Residents can visit www.ogdenvalley.gov and select the Microsoft Teams Help link on the homepage.
Why Is the City Making the Change?
Ogden Valley City already uses Microsoft services for City operations. Moving public meetings to Microsoft Teams will provide the City with one platform for meetings and collaboration while eliminating the need to maintain a separate Zoom service.
Microsoft Teams also provides several ways for residents to participate, including through a web browser, the Teams app, or by phone when call-in access is provided.
