Ogden Valley Agricultural Advisory Committee Meeting Slated for October 8th

The Ogden Valley City Agriculture Advisory Committee will meet on Thursday evening, October 8, from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. at the Ogden Valley Library in Huntsville.
In addition to its regular agenda, the meeting will include a presentation as well as questions and answers by Thayne Mickelson, Utah Department of Agriculture and Food County Water and Land Conservation Manager, on the topic of Agriculture Protection Areas in Ogden Valley.

Neil Bailey and Don Hickman co-chair the OVC Advisory Committee. The Agricultural Advisory Committee serves as a practical, solution-oriented resource for the City, providing recommendations on issues affecting local farms and ranches, while helping to reduce conflicts and strengthen collaboration between agricultural producers, residents, and other stakeholders in Ogden Valley.
The meeting is open to all residents of Ogden Valley.
The Ogden Valley Agricultural Advisory Committee was formed on March 23, and is intended to support the community’s General Plan, which emphasizes the importance of protecting and promoting active agriculture as a defining element of the Valley’s identity, economy, and landscape.
