Mayor's Message: Connecting Community and Commerce - The Launch of Ogden Valley’s Business DirectoryBy Mayor Janet Wampler - 28 February 2026
As we continue building the future of our new city here in Ogden Valley, I want to share an important initiative designed to strengthen our local economy and, in turn, the financial security of our residents. In the coming weeks, the City will launch a dedicated Local Business Directory on our official website. This page will make it easy for residents and visitors alike to find local vendors for everything from dining and retail to professional services, trades, agriculture, and more. How the Directory Will Be Built To ensure a strong foundation, the City Council will begin populating the new webpage using our current Business License records. However, we know no list is complete without your involvement. We warmly invite all local businesses—whether you operate from a storefront, an office, a farm, or from home—to provide or update your information so we can ensure it is accurate, up to date, and fully representative of the services available in our community. How to Be Included If you would like your business listed, please email the following to: [email protected]
Why This Effort Matters This initiative is about building a culture of local support. When neighbors choose neighbors for their goods and services, we strengthen trust, resilience, and pride in our city. Supporting local businesses invests in the very people who make this community special. Building Our Future Together This Local Business Directory is more than a webpage. It is a commitment to each other. Every dollar spent locally circulates through our economy, strengthening families, preserving jobs, and reinforcing the character of our valley. I encourage every business owner to participate and every resident to make a conscious effort to explore and support the incredible talent and services available right here at home. When we choose local, we choose each other. |
