Liberty Days Returns to Liberty Park for July 4th Festivities

The community is gearing up for Liberty Days, billed as the world's greatest small-town celebration, taking place at Liberty Park this July 4th. The upcoming event promises a full day of family entertainment, food, and long-standing community traditions.

Throughout the holiday, attendees will be able to explore a variety of booths featuring food vendors, artists, and mazes. Additionally, the Park Committee will have a balloon artist on hand and bounce houses will be available for ticket purchase for all to enjoy.

New Volleyball Tournament Format
This year, the annual volleyball tournament is introducing a new format designed to provide an enjoyable experience for youth and families while still maintaining a high level of competition. The event will be split into two distinct tournaments:

• Family Tournament: Limited to 8 teams. Each team must feature at least four players aged 15 or younger. The remaining two roster spots can be filled by adults or parents, though a team may also consist entirely of players 15 and under.
• Competitive Co-Ed Tournament: Open to 12–15 teams. Each team is required to have at least two female players.

Registration opens on a first-come, first-served basis on June 28. The entry fee is $30 per team. Those interested must email their team name and desired tournament bracket to [email protected]. Organizers will reply with an email confirming whether the team has been accepted or if space has filled up. Once confirmed, payment will be collected via Venmo. Any questions regarding the tournament can be directed to the same email address.

Official Event Schedule
The July 4th schedule features a packed lineup of activities running from early morning until well after dark:

• 7:30 a.m. – Flag Ceremony & National Anthem
• 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Community Breakfast
• 9:00 a.m. – Parade (Participants are instructed to line up east of the park at 8:45 a.m.)
• 9:30 a.m. – Arena Games, featuring Mutton Bustin’, the Chicken Catch, and the Pig Chase. (Note: Participants must be 12 or younger. Tickets will be available during breakfast. Mutton Bustin’ space is limited.)
• 1:00 p.m. – Fish Catch (Begins upon the arrival of the fish)
• 1:00 p.m. – Arm Wrestling Tournament (Start time is subject to vary)
• 8:00 p.m. to Dusk – Dancing in the Park
• After Dark – Patriotic Tribute & Fireworks
