Ogden Valley City to Hold Public Hearing and Special Meeting on New Impact Fees
5 April 2026

The Ogden Valley City Council has scheduled a public hearing and subsequent special meeting for April 13, 2026, to discuss and potentially adopt new impact fees for the region.

The proceedings will begin at 2:00 PM at the Huntsville Town Hall Council Chambers, located at 7474 East 200 South.

Public Hearing on Infrastructure Fees
The first portion of the event is a public hearing dedicated to receiving input on Impact Fee Facilities Plans (IFFPs), Impact Fee Analyses (IFAs), and the enactment of fees related to three specific systems:
  • Transportation / Roads
  • Trails
  • Storm Drain
The proposed fees would apply to all areas within the municipal boundaries of Ogden Valley City. According to the public notice, these fees are intended to fund system improvements necessitated by new development activities.

Special City Council Meeting
Immediately following the close of the public hearing, the Council will convene a Special City Council Meeting. During this session, the Council will deliberate on Ordinance No. 2026-19. The legislative body may choose to adopt the ordinance as proposed, amend it, reject it, or table the matter.

If passed, the ordinance will establish the formulas for fee calculation and identify the specific service areas for the new development charges.

Public Access and Participation
Documents related to the proposal, including the IFFPs and IFAs, are currently available for review at the Ogden Valley City Office, the Ogden Valley City website, and the Ogden Valley Branch of the Weber County Public Library.

Residents can participate in person or electronically via Zoom. Written comments may also be submitted prior to the hearing to the City Engineer via email at [email protected].
