Grateful for OVN Giving Voice to our City Leaders

The newspaper no longer reads like a personal blog. It feels more balanced, informative, and focused on providing the community with honest reporting. My trust is building with each issue.
I especially appreciate hearing directly from our District Council members and Mayor. Given the unique circumstances surrounding our new city, our elected officials should be regularly reporting their positions, their decisions, and what they are actually accomplishing on behalf of the community. Providing them with a place to communicate directly with residents is both appropriate and valuable.
Even as the city website becomes more established, two things remain true: it takes a lot more time to manage a website—even to add letters—and sending a letter to the paper is far more efficient at this point. Having created many websites, I understand the challenge.
Bravo!
While a person here or there, perhaps with a personal agenda, may criticize the newspaper’s new direction, I believe many, many residents are quietly grateful for the restoration of integrity, truth, and professionalism.
Please keep moving forward. Ogden Valley deserves responsible local journalism, and it is encouraging to see the Ogden Valley News rising to that responsibility.
