Fire Restrictions Lifted for Ogden Valley and Surrounding Areas
By The Ogden Valley News Staff – Updated 23 September 2026
The State of Utah Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands has announced the lifting of Stage 1 fire restrictions across parts of Northern Utah. The rescindment took effect at 12:01 a.m. on September 20, 2026.
The removal of these Stage 1 restrictions is the result of moderated fire danger indices and improved weather conditions that have reduced the wildfire hazard in the region. The lifted restrictions apply to all unincorporated private lands and all state lands located within Box Elder, Cache, Rich, Weber, and Salt Lake Counties.
In alignment with this decision, Weber County and the Weber Fire District have also lifted their temporary fire restrictions. Because Ogden Valley City adopts the fire policies of the state and county, the city has removed its temporary restrictions as well.
