Eden Valley Trails Has Been Busy This Spring
By Alan Wheelwright - 8 May 2026 EVT has had a productive few weeks — and there's plenty more to look forward to. We've been putting in serious work this spring — trimming overgrowth, clearing trees that came down over the winter, and getting the trail network into great shape across the board. Indian Trail was long overdue for some attention, so we made it a priority and got out there to give it a proper trim. It's looking fantastic, and it's well worth a visit if you haven't been out lately. There's some good news worth celebrating too. The Sidewinder reroute is officially open, and the trail repairs caused by road construction from the Bridges development are complete. Both projects took real effort to pull off, and we're proud of how they turned out. We also want to extend a sincere thank you to Powder Mountain for allowing us access to their land to make both projects happen — that kind of partnership is invaluable and we don't take it for granted. We're currently back out at Canyon Rim, working through some water drainage issues to get it riding-ready. While we're at it, we'll be finishing up a roughly two-mile loop that we started last year and building a new connector trail that will link Canyon Rim / Old Snowbasin to the Maples parking area — an addition that's going to make the whole system much more accessible and fun to explore. We're excited about this one. None of this happens without community behind it. To every volunteer who has shown up this spring to lend a hand — thank you. Connecting people to trails and building community support around the places we love is at the heart of everything we do, and you make that possible. We're grateful for every hour you've put in. Keep an eye on our channels for opening announcements and updates as the season rolls on. We'll see you out there! |
