Ogden Valley Community Easter Egg Hunt Brings the Community Together (and Starts with a Little Chaos!)
By Camille Wight - 8 May 2026 This year’s Ogden Valley Community Easter Egg Hunt was one for the books! The day was full of sunshine, smiles, and fun for all (even the adults). The event brought together families from all over the valley and downtown with hundreds of kids gathering at Huntsville Park, baskets in hand, ready for the countdown. But in true kid fashion… the countdown didn’t exactly go as planned. Let’s just say some excited little runners may have kicked things off a bit early and once one kid went, they all went! What followed was a joyful, slightly chaotic, and completely unforgettable start to the egg hunt that had everyone laughing. The adult egg hunt was just as chaotic as people raced around Huntsville Square hoping to get eggs filled with local prizes and cash! The turnout was incredible, and it was so special to see so many families, friends, and neighbors come together to celebrate. Events like this are what make Ogden Valley such a unique and tight-knit community. This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of so many amazing people and businesses. A huge thank you to Charlie Graff with Bee Cave Management, who originally sparked the idea and helped gather sponsors, then trusted me to run with it and bring it to life. Thank you to Huntsville City for being so wonderful to work with and for allowing us to host the event at the park, and to Jeff Hyde for generously letting us use Huntsville Square for the adult egg hunt. We are incredibly grateful for our main sponsors who helped make this event possible: Bee Cave Management, Community Foundation of Ogden Valley, Valley Market, Emmie James, Timeless Aesthetics and Wellness, Mountain Vitality Skin Co., Range Realty, Extraordin-aire, Peterson Builders, and Grizzly Graphics. The adult egg hunt was a huge hit this year, thanks to the generosity of local businesses who donated such fun and thoughtful prizes. From gift cards and experiences to wellness treatments, golf passes, staycations, and more, the community truly showed up in the best way. A special thank you to all of the local businesses who contributed prizes, including Seek Chocolate, The Drip, Mad Moose Cafe, Captain Crabby, HEL Fitness, Compass Rose Lodge, Ogden Valley Pizza, Aspen Rae Design, Hank’s Bistro and Brew, Eden Coffee & Cocoa, Timeless Aesthetics and Wellness, Mountain Vitality Skin Co., Wolf Creek Golf Course, Valley House Inn, Zimbi Dental, Peddler’s Cafe, Root + Petal, New World Distillery, Bad Bevs, Performance Veterinary Services, Huntsville Sauna, Blacksmith Garage, Alisa Mortensen, Wild Poppy, 3 Queens Apiary, Miss Bee Haven, Range Realty, and Huntsville Mercantile. We also want to thank Wolf Creek, the Community Foundation of Ogden Valley, and the Huntsville Library for helping with kids’ prizes, games, and the Easter Bunny. A big shoutout to Britts Bash for the beautiful balloon arch that made the event feel extra festive, our food trucks Happy Tummie, Coach’s BBQ, and Sugar Mama’s Fresh Eats for keeping everyone well-fed and happy throughout the day, and for my friends and family for helping me stuff over 4,500 eggs, hang up signs and set up for the event. Ultimately, this event was about more than just finding eggs, it was about community. Seeing kids running, parents laughing, and neighbors connecting reminded us exactly why events like this matter. We’re already looking forward to next year and hope to make it even bigger and better. If you’re a local business interested in sponsoring or being involved in next year’s event, we would love to connect. What a gift it is to be a part of this amazing Valley Community! |
